WALL DECOR IDEA cdn..

Wall Decor from the previous post is DONE ! You can click on a post to see the beginning .
This is how I've painted frames in colours matching those my daughter will have in her bedroom.

Use masking tape when you want to paint a frames, it's easier and quicker. Don't forget to get rid of them when the paint is still wet otherwise it can come off with masking tape .

Ok. It's DONE !!

Her highlights was a nightmare to paint ! But I managed :)) Hot pink paint is a chalkboard paint, you can draw on it with a chalk ! Paint will cover one of the walls .

Blue paint is called Midnight Lagoon and it has a glitter look. Can't wait to see the look on her face when she see her new room ...

THINKING THRIFTY GARDEN

An old basket found in a garage when we moved to our new flat . Dirty and smelly :) piece of wicker get a little cleaning and new paint cover. It was lovely with its schabby chic look but didn't match my garden furniture so I decided to cover it with a outdoor woodstain  in oak colour.

And my little gardener always happy to help :))

I decided it will be a great flower container for my garden.   It will not last as long as planters made from
stronger materials but I will recycle a plastic bag to line the baskets,  cutting little holes to allow for water drainage. Do not set them directly on ground ,use rocks, bricks, pot holders to let air circulate . It will  prevent rotting of the baskets in the bottoms.

Always remember to use an old piece of cloth or a bin bags to protect grass from paint .

This is how it look when stained. Took two coats of woodstain, on a first picture it looks a little pale.

Other flower baskets found in internet, don't they look beautiful in a garden?

Like other flower containers you can pick them up and move them around wherever you need a splash of color in you garden at the time. How often have you been stuck for a present for a parent, grandparent, uncle, aunt, brother or sister? It can be a timeless gift, bringing enjoyment for many years.

And a set of flowers I am going to plant in my basket ,Aubrieta Royal Red, Aubrieta Royal Fiolet and my favourite Lavender :

WALL DECOR IDEA

I decided to spice up wall in my daughter's bedroom. I took inspiration from pop art and made project with three portraits of her favourite singers :) I downloaded pictures and edited in Photoshop.
This is how you can do it :

Select Image-Adjustments-Brightness/Contrast, image must
be very dark to get results we want:

Select again Image-Adjustments-Threshold . Image will look like this :

The final step is to Filter-Blur-Gaussian Blur 0,5-0,8 pixels, but you can try more to
get the look you want . Next thing you do is to print it , find the right place for your
project and think how you are gonna transfer it to the wall.

I think the best idea is to use a carbon paper or a graphite transfer paper and trace
picture with pencil. I did it by cutting of the big patches of black and used it as a stencil.
Small details painted by hand. It wasn't the easiest way to do it but I had no choice,
couldn't find any carbon paper and I was so exited to start my project :)

This is how it look like when painted on a wall, just two of them . Today I'll finish the last one.
Will post next pictures when finished. Hope I inspired you to some kids bedroom makeover :)
